Change is all around us – from federal healthcare reform and its impact on the organizations in which we work; electronic health records and changing patterns of communication; reform of medical education incorporating new theories of learning and new technologies; to the day-to-day transitions in our personal lives. Some changes we control, many we don't. How we respond to change can affect the outcome, and can teach us about ourselves in the process. At this year's course we will be exploring change in our personal and professional journeys.
The AACH Winter Course is changing too! We are excited to be offering the following changes to the course structure:
- FIT Skills Sessions, the first series of sessions in a planned 3-year curriculum based on core competencies designed to meet the development needs of FITs.
- Parallel sessions for faculty with on-site planning to address the needs of faculty for the Winter Course to be a place for revitalization and renewal.
- Workshops will be stand-alone sessions, rather than part of a track, to provide opportunities for Faculty and FITs to explore alternative topics and skills not covered in the traditional curriculum.>
